Siruvari village is a totally unspoiled Gurung settlement set in the hills at an altitude of 1700 meters above sea level. The climate is ideal at any time during the September to June season with warm days and cool nights.
Panchamul Sirubari is the first model village designed to experience village based tourism in Nepal. It is a nature gifted place and one of the richest Gurung village in terms of culture. Sirubari village is a short drive and walk from Pokhara, the major tourist center for the Annapurna. The trail to the village is steep but well made and most people manage to reach the village after a three-hour walk. We will be welcomed into the community and invited to stay in the home of one of the villages. The accommodation is simple but comfortable with good bedding as well as clean toilet facilities. The food is delicious and you will be eating your meals as one of the family. The living culture and tradition of Gurungs blended with their rich hospitality make for an unforgettable experience for any one who visits Sirubari. Sirubari is the winner of PATA Gold Award 2001 in Heritage and cultural-Heritage category.
An easy one-hour walk above the village is the viewpoint at Thumro. Spread before you are rolling foothills dotted with isolated farming communities and crowned by an array of snow peaks that will leave you breathless.

During your stay you will be able to feel what it is like to live the life of a Nepali villager. Feel free to wander, safely, by yourself and look at all of the developments that the community have supported and funded, the primary health center with its doctor, the agricultural service center. The veterinary hospital. The plant nursery and forest plantation. If you never come this way again the village and its people will remain in your heart forever.
Can be reached after 4 hours trek from Syangja. Regular bus services between Pokhara and Syangja are available.

Among the cost of Kirati, Rai, Limbhu,, Sunuwar and Yakha had plays vital role to take legamate of their sambat. Rai says Yale Dong, Limbhu says Tanngbay and Sunuwar says Thochew for their new year.
